What role do community resources play in separation cases? The goal of this study is to provide a qualitative and quantitative evaluation of community resources provided by a hospital staff of a North Columbia hospital. Study nurses report on activities of the local hospital staff, on the roles and responsibilities of the participants, and on their perception of the strengths and weaknesses of the community resources used to implement their initiatives. They interview a wide array of community resources (whether delivered or by local staff), and then then report how these resources are utilized throughout the hospital. In this way, they are being evaluated for their impact on the hospital and in particular its caring environment and the role of local community community partners and community teams on the care of care and for the implementation of the project. Abstract Population Characteristics In total of 2,062 (26%) of 10,052 patient experiences were recorded as having a diagnosis of internal bleeding compared with 10,094 (81%) of 20,335 patient experiences associated with treatment or care. In the original sample, 2,019 of the patients (0.52%) were classified as having a diagnosis of blood disorder, 32% had underlying disease as noted by the institution, and 12% were not specifically known to the hospital. Twenty-seven percent of the patients were classified as having had an emergency department diagnosis, and 19% were classified as having had an emergency department procedure performed. The sample was heterogeneous and made from the community level in that they were highly diverse, with one-third being married and the remaining being widowed. Most patients were of good education, and 26% were engaged with a community partner. Two-thirds were private at the time of their diagnosis. Fifteen patients were living with no family, and 25% had a family member at the time of their diagnosis. Two-thirds of the patients received medical care at a clinic, 16% of them were female, the remaining being male. Patient Demographics Over 30% of the population of the hospital experiences a diagnosis of internal bleeding, having one or more associated conditions. Fifteen patients (0.92%) were classified as having a diagnosis of endometrium hematopoieticoma, 12% were classified as having a type of bone marrow failure, 4% were categorized as having an ia or chyle, 2% reported a history of prior trauma, and 5% were classified as being isolated for complications of his major heart operation.
